South Korea is one of the most important countries that attracted the eyes of people all around the world. It became so because of the development that it achieved in all fields throughout the last century. South Korea occupies the south part of the Korean peninsula after the separation from North Korea in1948 with the help of America. Korea put itself on the international map, as it became an industrial country competing the world's major powers. Some products such as electronics, steel, ships, automobile in addition to IT industries turned it into international station a lot of countries go back to as a main supporter. The country always hosts and sponsors international events, which add financial and moral benefits to the country. They hosted events such as Seoul Olympics in 1988 and FIFA World Cup in 2002.

Habits and customs:

South Korea has unique habits and customs that hard to be seen in other places of the world. For examples, in charismas Korean believe that they “should hide their shoes on the first night of the New Year” that is because the ghost will wear one of them and it will be a bad luck for the owner of the shows. To show respect there, you should bow to the others as a kind of greeting. People in Korea are always in a hurry. They want to do their tasks and jobs as fast as it is possible. Korean’s important part of their life is drinking. Elderly and even young drink alcoholic beverage permanently. People in South Korea like fashion too much and they concern of fashion matter. Most people are up-to date in their clothes and in their physical appearance and girls do not go out without make up on their faces.

Architecture:

The old traditional houses that made of straw are replaced with high buildings that all look like. People of one family with different generations used to live together under one roof whereas new generations prefer to live separately. That is what makes the demand of building houses exceeds the supply. The new houses are being built now in the same design that old houses had been built in order to save the traditions of their grandparents and their great architecture that they inherited from the old generation.

Education:

Education represents an important side of Korean life. Parents give the highest priority to the education, so they sometimes slaughter sacrifices in order to make their children get high marks. The students have to spend 6 years in the primary school and then they spend 3 years in the prep school. After Prep School the students go to the secondary school for three years to go to whether to the university (4 years) or junior colleges ( 2 years). The rest of students who didn’t go to university enter the work force directly to have a technical job or craft. Currently , Schools are still categorized by sex. Boys study in separated school than girls because they believe there a difference between the ability of understanding between boys and girls.

Sports:Taekwondo is the most important sport in Korea. It has a historic origin in their old ages. When the Korean peninsula were divided to three kingdom, it became the formal martial arts there and it has a great importance between people of these ages. Although Taekwondo backs to the old ages, people consider it as a young game that appeared recently. New generation’s favorite sport is football. I became very popular after the host of FIFA World Cup in 2002 and FIFA World Cup.
